KULVIK Hannes

HANNES KULVIK has a D.Sc. degree from the Helsinki University of Technology. In his doctoral thesis he analysed factors affecting the success and failure of new products. From 1971 to 1980, he was manager of Valmet Technology Transfer Group that was setting up excavator and tractor factories in emerging markets. Then Hannes became President and shareholder of Sponsor Plc, a Nordic industrial holding company specializing in external and internal growth situations. In 1991, he sold his holdings in a public offer made for the company. He participated in restructuring of the Nordic banking and insurance industry, and formed Sifter Fund in 2003.

RISTO VÄYRYNEN holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Business Management from University of Westminster and is currently in the final stage of his executive MBA degree. Prior to joining the Sifter Fund Risto worked in Primula Plc, Finland and opened the Swiss operations of Quartal Group in 2003.

OLLI VÄYRYNEN has a Master's degree from the Helsinki University of Technology. Olli majored in systems analysis with a minor in corporate strategy and international business. His master's thesis was about "Identifying Undervalued Stocks with Multiple Financial Ratios".

SINIKKA OKSANEN has been studying at the department of Communications in the Helsinki University's Faculty of social Sciences. Before Sifter Fund, Sinikka has been working in Finnish advertising agencies, latest as an Account Director with international clients at SEK&GREY that is the largest advertising agency in Finland and belongs to the international Grey Worldwide group.

JANNE KULVIK analyzed in his final thesis at the University of Helsinki the applicability of contrarian investment strategies to pulp & paper equities. He also developed and tested share selection criteria covering various international industry sectors. Before joining the Sifter Fund team, he worked as equity analyst for the Finnish Sampo Bank Plc.

KUNHUA HU has a MSc. in Economics from the Hanken School of Economics, majoring in Computational Finance. In addition to studying in Finland, Kunhua has also spent time studying economics in both China and Norway.

KUUSI Eero

EERO KUUSI has an extensive IT- and electronics background, being trained as an electronics officer and chosen to service electronics/IT unit in the Finnish military. Before taking charge of Stocksifter™ development, Eero has studied at the Department of Bioinformation Technology at the University of Technology, majoring in Medical Technology. Eero's minor in economics has given him a good foundation to build his financial knowledge upon at Sifter Fund.

BURRUS Yves

YVES BURRUS holds a degree in economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris, and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau. He started as financial analyst in a French private bank before being manager of the Paris office of an American investment bank. In 1971, he became founder and managing director of Banque Ormond, Burrus & Cie SA. From 1992 to 1997 Yves Burrus was Chairman of the bank which then was majority owned by UBS. In 1998, he became Chairman of Marcuard Cook & Cie SA, a Swiss private bank, sold in 2001 to Anglo Irish Bank. Yves is currently director of Anglo Irish’s Swiss subsidiary, director in several enterprises and active in charitable institutions.

YVES DUSONCHET has degrees in Electrical Engineering from EPFL, Switzerland and a PhD in Management Sciences from Purdue University, USA. R&D at Mac Graw Edison, Pittsburgh then Associate Professor INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, he joined SGS Group in 1975 and held top executive positions, successively: MD Hong Kong, Thailand, EVP Asia & Far East, CEO Spain, EVP Africa & Middle East, EVP Industrial Services, member of the Group Executive board. Successfully managed, restructured, developed and acquired operations.

DANIELLE PIHL has Masters in Law and Economics from the Paris University. Loan officer at Banque Rothschild Paris, Vice-president Finance of Fiat USA Inc. from 1980 until 1986, she then co-founded and was Director of Lynx Partners (USA) and of The Chandler Partnership (Guernsey), and President-CEO of TWH (France). Independent adviser since 2000.
KULVIK Henri

HENRI KULVIK has a degree in Business Studies from Kingston University, UK. After his studies Henri worked at the EastWest Institute, a New York based international policy institute. In 2002 he became a founding partner of an IT company that developed software solutions for professionals in the finance sector. One of the company's projects included assistance of IT development work of Stocksifter™ for Sifter Fund. Since 2007 Henri has managed and been responsible for the Private Equity portfolio of the Kulvik family.

ALLEN CLARKE COLLINSWORTH has an M.Sc in Economic Geography from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MBA from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Allen is financial advisor to the various enterprises of the Municipality of Istanbul (IBB). Prior to working in Turkey he was the Director of Corporate Programs for the EastWest Institute, a New York based international policy institute.
