STOCKSIFTER™ - FINANCIAL ANALYSIS TOOL

 

 Stocksifter™ is our proprietary financial analysis tool and an integral part of the stockpicking process of Sifter Fund. It is the result of over two decades of experience and countless development hours spent to create a powerful tool to help our analysts. The software allows its user to filter the most promising investment opportunities out of thousands and then enables us to efficiently follow and assess those promising companies.

 

Our database includes up to date information of over 15'000 of the biggest quoted companies of the world. With Stocksifter™'s search and sort functions we are able to sort and rank companies and their valuations globally, regionally or by any other criteria we choose.

The search and sort functions are efficient and allow for easy comparison between companies and their valuations.

In addition to sophisticated searching and sorting, Stocksifter™ uses all the financial data available to calculate the Kulvik Value, an estimate of the objective fundamental value for each company in our database. We have also incorporated a feature-rich User Modification system so that we can use our own expertise and analysis to see how our differing views would reflect on the value of any investment. This also enables us to see how the company's value would react to different market changes in the long term.

 

Stocksifter™'s main analysis overview gives a comprehensive look at the current financial state of a company. The overview paired with our User Modifications system allows for easy comparison between the market consensus and our analysts' own opinions.

 Giving us a glimpse at how a company fares in different scenarios is only a part of what the User Modification system does. It also lets us keep a detailed record of our analysis history. The shared archive enables us to review any piece of research any of our staff have made over the lifespan of Sifter Fund. None of the time consuming research we do goes to waste.

 

Even though the tools provided are powerful, we never rely solely on graphs and figures. Stocksifter™ is only a tool that enables us to be more efficient in researching companies. The bottom line is always about the complete picture of the state of the company in the real world and its future prospects, not merely the numbers we see on the screen. This is why we've also included a Sifter Business Quality Check feature in Stocksifter™. The ranking and sorting processess as well as the User Modifications and other research is a constant check of quality in itself, but the Sifter Business Quality Check gives the analyst the tools to ensure that all the fundamental investment questions and deeper perspectives have been thought through. While performing the quality check in Stocksifter™, we can emphasise the most positive and negative issues. With the Business Quality Check system, we can go behind the numbers and generate in depth information that both provides an accurate and thorough review of our research and is also easily understood by anyone reading it.

 

As we do more and more research, we're building our own database of information in a standardized format. The standardized format makes research accessible and easy to read to everyone, but also allows us to place similar companies side by side and understand their key differences in a heartbeat.
